A girl can be a librarian or a nerd at heart but it does not necessarily mean she has to give up her love for fashion and high heels...an intellectual being may have more important matters on his/her mind than to how to pull off an immaculate look everyday BUT appearances do matter when making an impression or changing someone's perception of you! So..what better way to present yourself to the world than through your choice of clothes and shoes??? It doesn't really matter whether the colours match or if your nails are chipped...as long as it somehow makes the outfit interesting..I think you are safe from the fashion police!
